Warfield Electric Co. produces motors for a wide range of performance requirements. All Warfield Electric motors are designed to last, even when exposed to the most demanding duty cycles.

We offer:

  • Broad Choice of Specifications - choose the voltage, the rotation, the shaft configuration, and the performance specifications. Motors are designed to meet UL on request.
  • High Efficiency Design - Warfield motors use only low-loss laminations and welded or fused commutator connections for peak motor performance. This superior efficiency lowers heat build-up and yields longer operating time per battery charge.
  • Durable Construction - Both the armature and the field assembly are resin varnish treated to lock in mechanical integrity and to provide permanent environmental protection.
  • Performance Tested - Quality is controlled throughout the manufacturing process and performance is confirmed with 100% load testing before shipment.

Remanufactured Motors
As the largest D.C. motor remanufactures in the country, we are able to bring our customers an unsurpassed level of workmanship and quality.

Unlike cosmetic rebuilders, we completely rebuild our motors with all new or totally reconditioned components and parts, meeting or exceeding O.E.M. specifications including:

  • Complete teardown and cleaning of motor cores. Removal of varnish and grease to eliminate grounds.
  • Field coils and armatures dipped and baked with Class "H" varnish to meet high temperature duty cycles.
  • Motors are assembled using all new hardware, including terminals, Class "H" insulators, brushes, springs and bearings to maximize motor life.
  • Motors are prime-painted before assembly and finish-painted after assembly to provide corrosion resistance and quality appearance.
  • Each motor is 100% performance tested to assure the highest quality prior to shipment.

All remanufactured motors carry a full warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a minimum of 90 days or 720 operating hours, whichever comes first.

We carry stock motors for most makes and models of lift trucks and we have an exchange program to keep your downtime to a minimum.

Armatures
In additions to remanufactured motors, Warfield Electric Company customers enjoy the benefits of "In House" armature rewinding and the machine shop service necessary to repair or replace armature shafts, commutators and other components.

Armatures
Our armature rewinding process incorporates these features:

  • Laminations and commutator are stripped and sandblasted.
  • Replacement armature coils are insulated from the laminations with Nomex to meet or exceed the O.E.M. specifications.
  • Armatures are dipped in Class "H" varnish and baked before final assembly.
  • Each armature is turned and undercut to the proper depth to extend the operating life of the motor, to prevent premature shorts and to increase brush life.
  • After tension banding with Permafil treated glass banding to hold coils in place, the commutator is faced and the armature assembly is completed by brazing the coil and commutator.
  • Finally, the completed armature is both ground and bar-to-bar tested to assure the highest quality.
